The plains of Brentonico, at the northern side of the Baldo mountain, are a well known ski resort in the Trentino region. 

Alpine ski

There are 6 ski-lifts and 3 chair-lifts, about 40 km of well-prepared piste ideal for all levels from the complete beginner to the experienced skier.

Carving

The slopes of both the Polsa and San Valentino are wide, making it possible to perform large curves and are therefore ideal to experiment 'carving'. As well as this it is possible to book the piste 'Polsa 1', where a specially set-up course is available for 'carving'.

Snowboard

There are snowparks available both in the Polsa and San Valentino and there is also the enjoyable boarder cross. The snowboard center of the Polsa offers specialized instructors and the possibility to hire soft boards and fun-carving skis.

Cross country skiing

Cross country center of San Giacom There is a teaching 'ring' where you can learn the first basic steps, assisted by experienced ski instructors and then progress onto more difficult pistes.
Cross country piste Polsa: In Polsa there is a 3 km 'ring' for cross country skiing which is always well prepared.

Ice skating

In both San Valentino and Brentonico it is possible to skate using your own equipment or to hire it.

Sledges

Another opportunity for small children is the slope reserved for sledging, where sledges are also available for hire.

Snow shoeing

With snow shoes tied to your feet and an alpine guide at your side, you will be able to walk through the woods of the area. For the adventurous who want a unique experience, it is possible to book an excursion by the light of the full moon, to a mountain hut for supper followed by a torch-light procession.

Polsa Happy Snow, a Kindergarten on the snow is located on the ski area of Polsa-San Valentino and organized by Consorzio Brentonico Vacanze; games and baby-sitting allow parents to have some free time in your vacation on the Altopiano di Brentonico.
