Excursions
This walking path with its 600 km length is one of the longest paths in Europe. It begins at the Lake of Constance, crosses the Alps in South Tyrol and Trentino and leads to Venice. The section that crosses the Altipiani begins in Valsugana and leads to Monterovere. The refuge E5 is on the Passo Coe.
This path traces 400 kilometres of military installations from the First World War and is a symbol for peace and unity. It begins at the Passo del Tonale and leads up towards the lofty Marmolada glacier. Considered feats of military engineering, the Austrian-built forts, casemates and trenches are still visible along the former Austrian-Italian front.
Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna make the ideal starting points for trails that are adapted to different levels of skill. The presence of experienced alpine guides is advisable. They not only provide a specific insurance but do also share their immense historic and naturalistic store of knowledge with you. Hiring an alpine guide is one of the best ways to get under the skin of the region.
