Guardia

Colorful Emotions

On the steep wooded coast of Mount Finonchio lies Guardia, "il paese dipinto" (the painted village), where the houses splendor with colorful paintings which tell an enchanted tale of life. A small part of the world which proudly boasts about it's genuine people, their village, living in harmony with nature and the importance of religious values. Of the many artists whom have gifted the village with there talent, one in particular comes to the minds of many, Cirillo Grott, painter, sculpture and poet, prematurely deceased in 1990. The artist developed his talents in Guardia ( his works of art are still embraced in the permanent exhibition area designated in the Casa dell'Artista ), however, later he gained national and international recognition by participating in various exhibitions. Following in the footsteps of his father, Florian, the youngest son of the artist, has also gifted the art world with his talent: as of 1995 he carries out exhibitions in Trentino and in national and international territories (France and Germany).
