Folgarida Marilleva

Folgarida and Marilleva are a real paradise for ski and snowborard lovers. Thanks to the possibility of getting to Madonna di Campiglio on your skis, you'll have an opportunity to slide throughout an enchanting ski area offering 120 km slopes and 47 swift lift facilities, against the majestic peaks of the Brenta Dolomites. At Marilleva 1400 you can find the new Stadium for night skiing which has been created on the Biancaneve "snowwhite" piste to host the spectacular HalfPipe competition in the Snowboard World Championship, that took place in Val di Sole in January 1999. If you wish, in the evening you can go over your ski lesson again, participate in the evening race for the visitors or assist the fascinating torchlight processions with the inevitable vin brulè in the end, that is organized by the ski-school.

For cross-country skiing, in Vermiglio you can find a new centre. The trackswind for about 11 km in the picturesque setting of conifer woods, characteristic farmsteads and mountain ranges that stand out against the sky in Valle di Sole. Services: snack bar, ski school, heated changing-rooms and showers, ice rink, ski hire and waxing facilities, Biathlon stadium, race office with qualified staff (tel. 0364 903888).

From 1999 Marilleva is equipped with a wonderful and brand-new Half Pipe track for snowboard in Val Panciana, where the Topolino Snowboard Trophy is also held. Moreover, on the slope Orti there is a Boarder Cross track (tel. 0463 988400).

Peio

The ideal destination for winter holidays completely immersed in the nature of Stelvio National Park, which is surrounded by the Ortles Cevedale range with its 23 peaks over 3.500 m. The resort offers 15 kilometres slopes served by six lift facilities and to a large extent by a network of snow-making equipment. Cross country ski trails ca be found at Cogolo, while the peaks over 3 thousand metres of the Ortles - Cevedale range are a huge arena for ski mountaineering lovers.

Passo Tonale

The Tonale is a modern winter sports resort. Its main characteristic is that snow is always guaranteed to be present thanks to the Presena Glacier, where one can ski year round.
