Culture - Cembra e Piné
The Highland of Piné and the Valley of Cembra are geographically close but deeply different in traditions and customs.
On the Altopiano di Pinè you feel encircled by a holy and spiritual atmosphere thanks to the presence of the Sanctuary of Montagnaga, which has been a place devoted to meditation and pilgrimage for 250 years.
The Valle di Cembra, with its phorphyries, rocks and deep gorges, suggests the efforts and the sacrifices that man had to face when he tried to live in and cultivate this area. The sides of the mountain, down until the river, are full of grapes, especially for wines such as Müller Thurgau, Schiava and some liquors.
Woodwork is also growing important lately, thanks to the big woods of Segonzano.
