Baselga di Piné
Baselga is the administrative seat and the economic, tourist, cultural and religious centre of the municipality of Baselga di Piné.
Tourism is here very important, hence the numerous services, accomodations and camping sites. Thanks to the presence of the lakes of Serraia and Piazze, where you can also swim, of a beautiful natural environment, of the biotopo del Laghestel, of a modern Congress Centre and of an International Ice Rink, Baselga has become one of the most famous resorts in Trentino.
Handicraft and the cultivation of small fruits help the local economy too.
The characteristic churches are definitely worth a visit: in Baselga there is the Antica Pieve di S. Maria Assunta, built in different styles: from the Romanesque to the Gothic, from the Renaissance to the Baroque. There are also the church dedicated to San Giuseppe, from the 17th century, on the hill of Vigo, the old church of S. Rocco in Miola, and the famous Marian Sanctuary of Montagnaga, dedicated to S. Anna.
